Small room. Big pots. Real fire.
A dhaba is the roadside kitchen of Punjab: a tandoor, a tawa, a few heavy pots and a handful of tables, with a truck parked outside. Ours is on Tecumseh Road East. The truck is on the sign, the tandoor is real, and the man taking your order is usually the man who runs the place.
Six or seven tables. Generous plates. Chole that simmer for hours, naan that goes into the oven after you order, and chai on the stove from open to close.
